Cardinal Greenways

The online Indianapolis Monthly had a piece last week on biking the Cardinal Greenway.  If you are not familiar with this trail, it is 62 miles long and is the longest rail trail in Indiana, starting in Marion and going all the way to Richmond.  The trail goes through several towns, and the Cardinal Greenway website provides information and things to do in each town.  Parts of the rail trail are remote and some of the route requires you to travel along country or town roads.

We have not tried this one yet, but it is definitely on our list for this year!  The website has planning tools, including an interactive map.  The Indianapolis Monthly article also had excellent descriptions of five different routes that has given us some ideas.
